1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, May 2nd. We want to take a moment to reiterate some specific expectations as we head into the final two months of school. Please use the bathrooms for their intended purpose and take pride in our building. Please walk and use a level one volume when speaking in the hallways to create a safe and calming environment. Please show respect to staff, guest teachers, and peers to uphold the dignity of others and our school environment. Please publicly display your affection for others outside of school to cultivate a professional work environment. Remember, as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities after SBA testing, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities.
2. This is a reminder for all Track athletes that there is no practice today and no Friday practices moving forward.
3. Cougs, over the next two weeks, you will have the opportunity to take the Center for Educational Effectiveness Survey in your Cougar Academy. This survey is being piloted in place of Panorama. You can find the survey in your portal and have put a link in grade-level Schoology folders. You will not use your school student ID as stated previously, but your SSID to log in. Your teachers have a list of your SSID and it is in PowerSchool as well. Thank you for providing feedback to continue to support the growth and development of our school community.
4. This is a reminder that next week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Start preparing to spoil your teachers and the KPMS staff and recognizing their efforts and hard work each and everyday! Kind words, notes, and tokens of appreciation go a long way to say thank you.
5. As we move further into testing season, we want to remind you that the SBA ELA test will be taken on Tuesday and Thursday next week. We will be operating on an extended Cougar Academy schedule similar to iReady. Please remember to bring your fully charged Chromebook with wired headphones or earbuds. Let's continue to put forth our best effort and strive toward excellence in our academic achievement.
6. Tomorrow, the amazing KPMS PTSA is holding their first annual Spring Market from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at KPMS. There will be vendors on site selling all kinds of goodies, and we will be accepting snack/food donations for Teacher and Staff Appreciation week as well.
