10/9/24
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Wednesday, October 9th. Keep walking right and talking right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Cell phones and wireless earbuds should be stored away and out of sight the entire school day, even during lunch.
2. This is a reminder that KPMS is a hate-free environment where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, disability, national origin, or ancestry are to be respected and celebrated. Words matter and character counts!
3. Speaking of words mattering…we are having our first all-school assembly this Monday, October 14th. A renowned national speaker, Justin Washington will be joining us to present on the Power of Words. We will start in 1st period on Monday and you will attend the assembly with your first period class. This is a formal assembly and expectations are that we show respect and engage fully with the presenter.
4. Our soccer and volleyball teams took on the Coyotes of Kopachuck yesterday. Girl's volleyball showed amazing growth and grit. They continue to develop their skills and talents each and every day. Boys soccer pulled off a tie in their first match and continues to exhibit excellence on the soccer field. Our cross-country team hosts today at Gig Harbor High School at 3:30 pm. You can expect to see more personal records and maybe some more school records! Keep encouraging our student athletes as they represent Cougar Nation this season!
5. Smile…picture retakes are available tomorrow during lunch in the library. If you did not get your picture taken or are getting retakes, please go to the library during lunchtime to get your picture taken.
6. The Cougar Pride Store will be open today during lunch in the Cougar Cafe. Keep saving up those points and displaying Perseverance, Responsibility, Integrity, Dignity, and Excellence to earn points.
Let's make it a great day and continue to develop an inclusive school community where everyone feels like they belong!
