11/6/24
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Wednesday, November 6th. November is Native American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Native peoples. Today’s fun fact is that Native people were the original environmentalists. For centuries, Native tribes have practiced sustainable agriculture, conservation, and ecological wisdom. Many of their practices, such as controlled burning, helped keep forests healthy and ecosystems balanced.
2. Continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Cell phones and wireless earbuds should be stored away and out of sight. Grab n' go lunches are available to students to pick up from 11:20 - 11:30 each day if you are getting a grab n' go lunch. Teachers will release students getting lunch between 11:20 and 11:25, at their discretion. Please get your lunch and return to your classroom until the end of day bell.
3. Please take 3-5 minutes this week in Cougar Academy to complete the October Sense of Belonging survey and check your Quarter 1 grades. This is a great time to check in on your academic status and to develop a plan as we begin Quarter 2.
4. Please continue to take care of your chromebook. Your chromebook is school district property and intentional damage is considered vandalism. Ensure you have a routine plan to charge it every night and bring it to school daily. Be prepared for classes by bringing your fully charged chromebook, binder, and planner to class daily.
Let's make it a great day and continue to display kindness and respect toward all members of our school community!
