1. Good morning Cougs! Today is April 2nd. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless headphones and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. Thanks for exhibiting expected behavior and contributing positively to a school community we can be proud of. Words matter and character counts!
2. This week we pause to recognize our amazing Paraeducators! Our Paraeducators support students, staff, and families day in and day out. Take a moment to thank our Paraeducators this week for their dedication and contributions to our school community.
3. Thank you for engaging in the resilience work on Monday. Let's be intentional about putting this learning into practice and build resiliency in our school community. Remember that Shoof will be hosting Family Game Night tomorrow night from 5-7pm. Come enjoy some pizza and games. Information was sent out to families so they can RSVP.
4. Girls soccer and boys basketball took on the Goodman Roadrunners yesterday. All teams put forth amazing effort and have shown so much growth throughout the season. The 8th-grade basketball team pulled off the win against Goodman, showing that they are a force to be reckoned with. We are so proud of our student-athletes and excited to cheer them on today. Go Cougs!
5. Our amazing choir joins forces with the Harbor Ridge choir tonight at 7:00 pm at Harbor Ridge for the future Seahawks concert. Come on out and enjoy some tunes!
6. We've got a spirit day coming this Friday. The theme is "dress to impress". Bring out your fanciest outfit and strut your stuff!
7. PSD is excited to host the first annual Young Artist and Authors Showcase. This is an opportunity open to all middle school students in the district to express their creativity through the theme, "Friendship: The Heartbeat of Global Peace". This year's theme highlights the power of friendship to foster understanding, collaboration, and peace across borders. Submissions will be accepted in various mediums, including: visual arts, essays, poetry, and music. Your submission can be turned in to your Art, ELA teachers, the main office, or an administrator up until April 11th. Submissions will be on display through May 2nd and be judged by district administrators and school board members in the library to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize winners. Let's show off our creativity and promote friendship, understanding, collaboration, and peace!
