4/4/25

1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, April 4th. Did you know that April is the month of the Military Child? This is a time to recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of students in military families. Whether a parent is serving nearby or deployed far away, military-connected students show amazing courage and adaptability. Let’s take a moment this month to show our appreciation and support. Stay tuned for ways we’ll recognize these awesome students throughout April!
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless headphones and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. Thanks for exhibiting expected behavior and contributing positively to a school community we can be proud of. Words matter and character counts!
3. Let's continue beyond this week to continue to recognize and celebrate our amazing Paraeducators! Our Paraeducators support students, staff, and families day in and day out. Let's continue to show gratitude for the hard work our Paraeducators do each day and for their dedication and contributions to our school community.
4. Our Options class will be doing an interactive lesson about composting and need your help. They will learn how food scraps and plant waste can turn into healthy soil. We will have a blue box in the Commons today to collect veggie and fruit scraps. Please help our class create some vibrant dirt.
5. Girls soccer and boys basketball took on the Falcons at Harbor Ridge yesterday. All teams showed toughness, grit, and perseverance throughout competition. Alison Otto and Esmeralda Torres Alcanter scored two fantastic goals. We are so proud of our student athletes and excited to cheer them on in their final game of the season at Kopachuck on Monday. Go Cougs!
6. Happy Spirit Day! Great job sporting your finest threads and adding spirit to the day!
Friday Riddle: An Uber driver is going the opposite way down a one-way street. He passes five policemen along the way, none of which stops him. Why not?
