1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Monday, April 7th. Did you know that April is the month of the Military Child? Did you know we have 9 students that have a parent that is in the military, and two of those are siblings? These 9 amazing students have had the added stress and anxiety when their parent has had to go off on a deployment, with many doing multiple deployments over their lifetime. Two of these students had their family member deployed for well over a year! While they understand that their parents are serving their country, it has definitely made their lives harder, but also more resilient and able to adapt to their surroundings and meeting new friends. This Friday our Spirit Day will be wearing all things purple in recognition of these amazing students!
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless headphones and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. Thanks for exhibiting expected behavior and contributing positively to a school community we can be proud of. Words matter and character counts!
3. Please complete the March sense of belonging survey that is in your grade level schoology folders this week. Thank you for continuing to share your voice and shape our school culture and community!
4. Girls soccer and boys basketball have their final game of the season today at Kopachuck. Our student-athletes have shown so much pride, growth, and perseverance throughout the season and they have our full support as they wrap up the season today. Go Cougs!
5. Don't forget that Track and Field starts up this Wednesday. Make sure all your necessary paperwork is in so you can start practice on the first day. Check-in in the main office if you have any questions.
6. The spring formal social is this Thursday and tickets will be on sale this week. Remember that tickets will not be sold at the door, so get them before Thursday.
