1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Tuesday, May 13th…Throughout the month of May, we continue to recognize Asian-Pacific Islander American History and Mental Health Awareness. Your mental health tip of the day: Write it out. If you’re feeling stressed or upset, try journaling. Even writing a few lines about how you're feeling can help sort things out in your mind.
2. Please remember to use the bathrooms for their intended purpose and take pride in our building. Please walk and use a level one volume when speaking in the hallways to create a safe and calming environment. Please show respect to staff, guest teachers, and peers to uphold the dignity of others and our school environment. Please publicly display your affection for others outside of school to cultivate a professional work environment. Remember, as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities after SBA testing, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities.
3. This week, we recognize and celebrate the amazing work of our Nurse and Health Tech, Ms. Girard and Ms. Abernathy. Their dedication, grace, and care is unmatched, and we appreciate their tireless efforts at managing our health and safety. Swing by this week and thank them for their service to our school community!

6. Shout-out to Ms. Kaal and the KPMS Band for performing at this year's 21st annual Livable Community Fair. What a sight & sound it was to watch the performance, as well as the parents/families of the students filling up the stage and seating. Go Cougs!
7. Today, we dive into the SBA Math Performance Task. We are operating on an extended Cougar Academy schedule with lunches being based on your 3rd-period teacher on Tuesday and Thursday. Let's continue to put forth our best effort and strive toward excellence and growth in our academic achievement. Remember that we use this data district-wide to make scheduling and decisions related to support and accelerated classes. Do your best, but don't stress!
