1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Thursday, May 22nd…Throughout the month of May, we continue to recognize Asian-Pacific Islander American History and Mental Health Awareness. From delicious foods to powerful storytelling, Asian and Pacific Islander cultures have shaped everything from American music to fashion. Take a moment today to explore or share a tradition you appreciate!
2. Please remember that KPMS is a hate free environment where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national orientation or ancestry, or disability are respected and celebrated.
3. Remember, as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities after SBA testing, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities. We will be holding our 8th grade ceremony, dance/social on June 17th starting at 6pm at KPMS. We will be holding our KPMS field day for all students that are eligible on June 18th with the inflatable dance dome, inflatable obstacle course, games, prizes, and food.
4. The District Championship Track Meet took place yesterday. Thanks to those that came out to cheer on our student athletes as they displayed amazing effort, skill, and growth against the Roadrunners, Falcons, and Coyotes. Go Cougs. Thanks to all the volunteers, coaches, and student athletes that made this event and the entire season a positive and memorable experience for all!
5. Attention 8th Graders - Are you interested in getting a jump-start on your high school graduation requirements? PHS is offering online summer classes for both PE and Health. The link to sign up is on your 8th grade Schoology Page. Students interested in taking either of these classes must meet with Mrs. McCabe or Mr. Sarsfield before registering. Space is limited so sign up ASAP.
6. This is a reminder that Pride Club will be held in the Boys and Girls Club this week and next week in room 101.
