1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Thursday, May 22nd…As we approach Memorial Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the meaning behind this important day. Memorial Day is a time when we honor and remember the brave men and women of the military who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s a day to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who fought to protect our freedoms.
While many of us look forward to the long weekend and the unofficial start of summer, let’s also remember why we have this day off. If you have family members who served or are currently serving in the military, please take a moment to thank them for their service and reflect on the sacrifices made by others.
As a school community, we honor their memory with gratitude and respect.
Thank you, and let’s continue to show kindness and appreciation in all that we do today.
2. Remember as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities after SBA testing, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities. We will be holding our 8th grade ceremony, dance/social on June 17th, starting at 6pm at KPMS. We will be holding our KPMS field day for all students that are eligible on June 18th with the inflatable dance dome, inflatable obstacle course, games, prizes, and food.
3. The Performance of Forgiven: A FairyTale is coming up next week. There are three showings you can attend. May 29th, 30th, and 31st. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. You can get your tickets at the bookkeeper or pay at the door. Come on out to be dazzled by our amazing Drama Club!
4. Attention all 8th Graders…you need to complete and submit the "end of year activity" survey. This tells us which teacher you'd like to speak at the 8th-grade moving on ceremony. It also tells us what kind of music and playlist you'd like at the 8th-grade only dance/social. This is only for 8th Graders and is found in your 8th-grade Schoology page. You can fill it out at the same time you complete the sense of belonging survey next week in Cougar Academy.
5. Will all of the ASB applicants please go to Mr. Rivera's Cougar Academy in the commons right after announcements and attendance.
