1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Friday, May 30th…As we wrap up Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month, remember: our community is stronger when we celebrate every culture, every story, every voice. Keep learning, keep growing.
2. This is a reminder that KPMS is a hate-free environment where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability are respected and celebrated. Thank you for developing a sense of belonging for all and developing an inclusive culture. Remember that words matter and character counts!
3. Remember as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities. We will be holding our 8th grade ceremony, dance/social on June 17th starting at 6pm at KPMS. We will be holding our KPMS field day for all students that are eligible on June 18th with the inflatable dance dome, inflatable obstacle course, games, prizes, and food.
4. Impact testing for incoming freshman football players starts today from 3:30 to 5 pm. There will be an activity bus for this. KPMS players will ride bus 109. This bus loads right after school and leaves at the same time as the other buses. If you don't hustle out, you will miss this bus. Please note that this will be your PERMANENT BUS for the duration of spring football at PHS.
5. Opening night for Forgiven: A FairyTale was outstanding! If you missed it, there are two more showings you can attend. Tonight at 6:30 pm, and tomorrow at 2 pm. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. Come on out to be dazzled by our amazing Drama Club! Also, a reminder that the cast & crew need to meet with Ms. Gregory during 6th period today in Ms. Gregory's room, 214. Please check in with your 6th-period teacher and go to room 214.
6. Attention all 8th Graders…Permission slips for Peninsula Preview are due today. They've been sent via ParentSquare, and one more reminder will be sent out today. If a permission slip is not turned in, you will not be able to attend. This is an amazing opportunity to get acquainted with PHS students, staff, and your Harbor Ridge peeps that will be joining you next year as you move on to high school. Also, permission slips for the JA field trip next Thursday and Friday are going out today via ParentSquare. Permission slips for PSD and Junior Achievement, along with all required lessons you've been working on in your math class, need to be completed to attend. This is a great opportunity to get some real-world experience around personal financial management in an engaging way, along with putting your math skills to work. Get it done!
Friday Riddle: I have branches, but no fruit, trunk, or leaves. What am I?
