1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Tuesday, June 3rd…Happy Pride Month! Pride Month honors the LGBTQ+ community and celebrates people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. This month, we’ll learn about history, highlight inspiring individuals, and celebrate the importance of being yourself.
 
2. Remember as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities. We will be holding our 8th grade ceremony, dance/social on June 17th starting at 6pm at KPMS. We will be holding our KPMS field day for all students that are eligible on June 18th with the inflatable dance dome, inflatable obstacle course, games, prizes, and food. 
 
3. 8th graders…please remember to let your Cougar Academy teacher know if you will be needing a sack lunch this Thursday or Friday for the JA field trip to Finance Park. Also, all 8th graders with signed permission slips will be released to the commons @ 9:10 am for their departure to PHS. Please transition quickly, quietly, and follow staff instruction so attendance can be taken and departure can happen on time at 9:30 am. 
 
4. Permission slips for the JA field trip this Thursday and Friday went out last week. Permission slips for PSD and Junior Achievement, along with all required lessons you've been working on in your math class need to be completed by Wednesday morning at 8 am. This is a great opportunity to get some real-world experience around personal financial management in an engaging way, along with putting your math skills to work. Get it done!
 
5. We are excited to have our incoming 6th graders from Minter, Vaughn, Evergreen, Pioneer, and Purdy with us today to get a sneak peek of middle school life. Please be extra quiet while transitioning to classes, as we will be presenting in the commons and touring with students. Thank you to Mrs. McCabe, Mr. Sarsfield, and all of our student leaders for welcoming our new cougars to our school community. Let's go out of our way to display PRIDE throughout the day!
