1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Wednesday, June 4th…Happy Pride Month! Why do we celebrate Pride in June? Pride Month began to honor the Stonewall Uprising in June 1969—a moment when LGBTQ+ people stood up for their rights. It sparked a movement for equality that continues to this day.
2. Remember as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities. Please continue to exhibit expected behavior and show respect for staff, students, and yourself. Words matter and character counts.
3. The deadline to have a signed permission slip for the JA Finance Park 8th-grade field trips on Thursday and Friday has passed. Only students that have digitally signed permission slips, JA contract, and all academic requirements completed will be able to attend.
4. A huge shoutout to all the students who helped with the 5th-grade visits yesterday! You did an amazing job! Beginning Band, Choir, ASB reps, Tour Guides, and Greeters made the visit informative and special for the mini cougars coming up next year. Thank you!
