6/11/25

1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Wednesday, June 11th…Happy Pride Month! A great way to show support during Pride Month? Listen to someone’s story without judgment. Everyone’s experience is unique, and listening builds understanding.
2. Remember, as we move into the final stretch and enjoy end-of-year festivities, participation isn't guaranteed. Expected behavior will be your ticket to participating in the festivities. Please continue to exhibit expected behavior and show respect for staff, students, and yourself. Words matte,r and character counts.
3. Congratulations to our ASB Executive officers for the 2025-2026 school year!
Sierra Nickles.-President
Alston Gjertson- Vice President
Piper Schumann-Secretary
Maih Jesus-Treasurer
Thank you for your courage & willingness to step forward and help lead our school!
4. The Cougar Band put on a gem of a show last night. It was the culmination of so much hard work, effort, and growth this year. A special shoutout to Develen, Seamus, Elliott, Anthony, Carter, Tristan, Mikey, James, Zeiler, and their parents for their tribute piece, honoring Ms. Kaal and her leadership. Our final Choir concert is tomorrow at 7:00 pm.
5. A reminder as we head into the final couple of weeks to get in any missing assignments and listen carefully to timelines from your teachers. Attempting to turn in a handful of missing work the last week of school is not the recipe for success. Finish strong!
6. Field Day is approaching and looks to be a fun day for all. Before field day you need to make a decision OR you can just wing it and enjoy the day as planned. There are 2 halves to the day divided by lunch. The upper field 1/2 of the day, students will work on their scorecard events, playing in the bounce stations, playing wiffle ball, basketball, 4 square, blowing giant bubbles, or using sidewalk chalk. The lower field 1/2 of the day has hangout spots, walking the track, yard games, kickball along with a couple of choice events with limited space.
Mrs. Welander will be in the commons for sign-ups starting today. Once all slots are full she will no longer be there. Sign up choices to be made for your lower field time: there are 3 time slots for students to sign up for arts and crafts in Mr. Miller's room and each 1/2 of the day has a movie choice. IF you choose the movie you must stay in the movie the entire time; This means no crafts or lower field events. The movie choice is Lilo and Stitch with a Wallace and Gromit short.
