Announcements 11/14
1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Friday, November 14th. We continue marching into Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month. This is a time to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across the United States. Did you know that education and knowledge-sharing are deeply valued in Indigenous cultures? Learning isn’t just about school; it’s about growing wisdom, listening, and giving back to your community.
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. Remember to stay within your personal bubble, keeping your hands and feet to yourself. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
3. We had our first choir concert of the year last night, and our choir was magnificent. Each of the soloists did a masterful job, showing courage and skill during the performance. A huge shoutout to Mrs. Webb and the choir for the time and effort they've been putting in to represent Cougar Nation proudly. Keep up the great work!
4. Our second sense of belonging survey will be available on Monday next week. Please complete this short, five-question survey to help us understand the school experience from the student lens. This should take 2-3 minutes and helps our staff learn and grow in developing a sense of belonging for each and every student.
5. Remember there is an ASB Meeting this morning in the commons. Please send one representative from your class, ready to take notes and bring them back to your class.
6. Also, remember that we have spirit week next week. Monday is PJ day, Tuesday is favorite color day, Wednesday is sports day, Thursday is twin day, and Friday is Cougar Pride Day. Get your swag ready and show off that Cougar PRIDE!
