Announcements 12/10

1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Wednesday, December 10th. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. Remember to stay within your personal bubble, keeping your hands and feet to yourself. Please take care of our school and report acts of vandalism right away by completing an incident report in the office or emailing Mrs. Kinney or Mr. G. Lastly, please walk to lunch and line up in an orderly fashion, our staff will have students that are running to be at the back of the lunch line. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive, safe, and respectful school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
2. In the spirit of safety, inclusivity, and the power of words, please remember that KPMS is a hate free environment where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability are respected and celebrated. Thank you for developing a sense of belonging for all and developing an inclusive culture. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
3. KPMS wrestling had their final regular season match yesterday at Harbor Ridge and showed amazing team spirit, effort, and skill throughout each match. We are so proud of the effort they've put in all season long and can't wait for the team to show it off for one last time when they wrap up the season at the District Wrestling Tournament this Friday @ GHHS. The tournament starts at 5pm, so come on out and cheer on our amazing student athletes. Go Cougs!
4. A huge shoutout to Mrs. Welander, Mrs. Trivette, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Janice and Mr. Whitney for the time, effort, and planning that went into making the field trip to the Washington State History Museum a success. We also recognize so many amazing parents/guardians that gave up their day to support this opportunity. Thank you to all that contributed and participated.
5. The KPMS choir will be performing at the Mustard Seed Senior Center today. We greatly appreciate their hard work and are grateful they will be representing Cougar Nation and bringing holiday cheer to so many seniors in our community!
6. Our amazing PTSA is keeping the holiday spirit rolling with a Cougar Movie Night this Friday from 3-5:30pm. They will be showing Home Alone and providing food, drinks, and movie theatre popcorn. This is a free event, so stay after school and get your weekend started right with Kevin McCalister!
