Announcements 4/29

1. Good morning, Cougs...today is Wednesday, April 29th. We continue to recognize the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of students whose families serve in the military. Students from military families juggle many responsibilities while their family members are actively serving in the military. Model this important character trait and take responsibility today for your words, actions, and the steps you are taking to pursue your goals.
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. The student store is open today, so continue to take responsibility for keeping the cafeteria clean, socializing at a level 1 volume, staying seated until released for honor time, and transitioning from honor time to class at a level 1 volume. Also, please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away. Make it happen, Cougs!
3. The Special Olympics Unified Soccer Event is this Saturday, May 2nd, at Peninsula High School's Roy Anderson Field. There is a short application that is in grade-level Schoology folders if you are interested in supporting this amazing event. Remember that middle schoolers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at the event.
4. To recognize your amazing effort and generosity for the Cougars Care Food Drive, free ice cream will be available today during lunch. We will have popsicles available as well for those with dairy allergies. Tables will be set up by last name for your lunch table to retrieve your frosty reward only after being dismissed by a staff member.
