Announcements 5/21

1. Good morning, Cougs...today is Thursday, May 21st. We continue recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month throughout May. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Being connected to others helps support mental health. Take time today to check in with a friend or classmate.
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. The student store will be open today, so continue to keep voices to a level one, walking in from honor time and to class, and taking responsibility for keeping the cafeteria clean. This is a reminder that your toys should remain at home or in your locker. Energy drinks of any brand are not allowed at school. Please consume those at home if your family is good with that. Also, please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away. Make it happen, Cougs!
3. Last night, Cougar Track and Field put on a dazzling display of effort, sportsmanship, and excellence. We are so proud of the growth and personal records of many of our student athletes, and even more athletes qualifying for the district championships. Go Cougs!
4. Today, we will be operating on our B Bell Schedule to support longer class periods as 8th graders wrap up testing with the WCAS test in their science class. Teachers, please show this to students this morning and remember lunches are based on your Cougar Academy teacher.
5. "Tickets are for sale to attend the KPMS Drama Club Production of 'When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors" A comedy that proves, when it comes to live theatre, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and it will be hilarious. Shows are next week, Friday at 6pm, and Saturday at 2pm. You can buy your tickets at the Bookkeeper's office. $3 for students, $5 for adults. Bring your family and come!
6. A reminder that those interested in the upcoming PHS Volleyball Camp need to register by this Friday. This is open to girls of all grade levels and abilities. The details were shared with families, so connect with your family and get registered for this amazing opportunity.
7. For our final Spirit Week of the school year, ASB is looking for any last ideas you may have. You can find the Google form in your grade level Schoology folder, and the form will be available through this Friday. Please submit your ideas. Thank you.
8. Attention 8th graders: head to your grade level Schoology page and vote for the songs you want to hear on the 8th grade end of year slideshow and at the dance.
