Announcements 6/16

1. Good morning, Cougs...today is Tuesday, June 16th. Keep walking right and talking right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Remember that expected behavior is directly connected to the end of year funsies. Finish strong and make it happen, Cougs!
2. Chromebook check-in began for 6th graders yesterday and is happening for 7th/8th graders during their Social Studies classes today. If you were absent yesterday, please connect with your social studies teacher and turn your materials in today. Fines will be assessed and are expected to be paid before you leave for summer break.
3. Yearbooks are being delivered and handed out in Cougar Academy today. Please show respect for the yearbook team and the owner by only writing kind and positive messages. Defacing or vandalizing another student's yearbook will result in purchasing them a new yearbook at the current price. Be thoughtful and inspiring as you send your peers off to summer break. Please do not take these out in class unless you have permission from the teacher. Remember to get your yearbooks while they last. There are still a few left for purchase. When they are gone, they are gone!
4. We are thrilled to announce that the 2026-2027 KPMS Advanced Band has been invited to perform at the prestigious Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) 2027 Conference in Yakima, WA. This is an incredible honor and a testament to the dedication and hard work of each and every member of the band and Ms. Kaal. This is an amazing accolade, and we are the first middle school in the Peninsula School District to perform at this event.
5. We will be holding our End of Year Awards and Recognition Spirit Assembly tomorrow morning, and you will be starting in Cougar Academy. An ASB usher will come to your Cougar Academy class and walk you to the assembly. Track members will have special seating on the Silver bleachers when entering the gym. You can peel off from your class as you enter and head to the bleachers to sit with your team. Please be respectful of all speakers and follow assembly expectations while celebrating accomplishments and showing that school spirit!
