Join the Peninsula School District as we celebrate School Bus Drivers, Mechanics, and Transportation Department Staff Appreciation Week, taking place from October 16 through October 20.

This week, from October 3rd to October 6th, PSD is celebrating Maintenance, Grounds, Custodians, and Warehouse Staff Appreciation Week! While our teachers and students often take the spotlight, this week is all about recognizing and expressing our gratitude to the incredible individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our schools and buildings running smoothly.

October is not just about pumpkin treats and autumn leaves; it's also the time to celebrate National Principals Month! This annual observance is a special opportunity to recognize and appreciate the tireless efforts of the educational leaders who play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students and schools.

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS
Our school will participate in the Healthy Youth Survey this Fall.

The survey asks questions about risks for injury, health outcomes, and alcohol and drug use. Schools, and state
and local agencies use survey results to support our youth and reduce their risks. The Healthy Youth Survey is
voluntary and anonymous and provides important information to guide policy and programs that serve our youth.

From September 15 to October 15, we proudly join the nation in honoring the incredible contributions of Hispanic Americans to our rich cultural tapestry. 

 

This special month, designated by presidential proclamations, is a time to recognize and celebrate the diverse heritage and remarkable achievements of Hispanic Americans who have enriched our society in countless ways. 🎨🎶

It's Food Bowl Week! 🎒🍎

 

Every year, during the week leading up to Fish Bowl, our incredible PSD community comes together to make a difference. 🤝 The Food Bowl competition is underway, where students and families unite to donate food to our community partner, Food Backpacks 4 Kids.

 

Food Backpacks 4 Kids is a lifeline for families in need in our district, providing them with backpacks filled with food and essential supplies, along with valuable resources.

 

This year's competition is fierce, featuring Gig Harbor High School, Peninsula High School, and Henderson Bay High School. The ultimate goal? Winning the Food Bowl title and trophy for the year! 🏆

 

To support your school and help make a positive impact, here's how you can participate:

🐟 Or bring your donation to Fish Bowl on Friday, Sept. 15.
