HearMeWA is Recruiting Youth Ages 12-25

Hey PSD families! We wanted to make you aware of an opportunity your student may be interested in. HearMeWA is recruiting for their Youth Advisory Group!

The Attorney General's Office is looking for motivated youth (ages 12-25) from across Washington State to serve on the HearMeWA Youth Advisory Group. This is a unique opportunity to provide perspective and help shape a statewide program designed to support youth facing challenges like stress, anxiety, abuse, and more.

The HearMeWA program is all about ensuring youth safety and well-being by responding to tips and offering resources. As a member of the Youth Advisory Group, your student will:
  • Have a voice: Help shape HearMeWA's branding, marketing, and outreach efforts.
  • Lead and learn: Gain leadership experience by facilitating meetings and contributing to important decisions.
  • Make an impact: Provide feedback on how the program can better serve youth in Washington.
  • Represent your peers: Share ideas and experiences to help create awareness and make HearMeWA more relevant to youth.
  • Get compensated: Youth Advisory Group members are eligible for a stipend and travel expenses.
Who can apply? If you're between the ages of 12-25 and live in Washington, this is your chance to make a difference! HearMeWA is looking for youth who are passionate, motivated, and ready to share their ideas in a respectful and impactful way.

Deadline to Apply: January 1st, 2025

Notification of acceptance: By January 22nd, 2025

First meeting: February 18th, 2025 (virtual meeting quarterly)
