Secondary Hybrid In-Person Learning Follow-up

Hello PSD Parents/Guardians of Secondary Students,

Yesterday we sent you information about the planning for secondary students to return to school for in-person learning sometime during the second semester.  

Included in that communication was a survey where you were asked to make a choice between in-person hybrid learning and full remote learning.  We understand that there is much to consider when making this choice and know that you may have questions beyond the information that we were able to include in yesterday's message. 

We understand the need to be as informed as possible before making your choice, so we have been working today on ways we hope can help.

• We’ve decided to extend the survey deadline to Noon on Tuesday, Jan. 12. 

• We are finalizing a FAQ document that we will share with you tomorrow. 

• Lastly, your child’s school is scheduling a parent information meeting on this topic during the evening on Monday, January 11. Please watch for an email from your principal with more details. Even if you’d already made your selection, you are encouraged to join the meeting.

We have heard from many of our students that they are excited about coming to school to connect with teachers, staff and their fellow classmates. We know this pandemic has been difficult for our children on many levels and we are happy to be preparing for a learning model where we can safely bring them to school as soon as conditions allow.
