1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Thursday, January 30th. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. 2. Yearbooks are on sale now and will be selling through February 28th. Get them while they last. Yearbooks are $33 and a great way to hold on to lasting memories for years to come.
3. The lady Cougs take on the Roadrunners of Goodman today after school. Remember that if you are staying for the game you may not leave campus and return. You must remain in the gym and not be in the commons. Our amazing Drama club will be preparing for the spring play and do not need any distractions.
4. Also, if you are interested in being part of the set or costume crew for the spring play, please pick up a form from Mrs. Gregory or Ms. Jaime in the main office.
5. Girls soccer and boys basketball begins February 24th right after mid-winter break. Get signed up ASAP and ensure all of the necessary registration forms are complete. Registration is open now, don't delay.
6. This is a reminder that Tech Club is canceled today.
7. Our amazing Beginning Band displayed their growth and skill last night. They performed beautifully and it was clear the hard work they've put in so far this year. Thank you to all that supported the performance and to Ms. Kaal for her continued leadership and development of our amazing band program!
8. The end of semester 1 is today. We begin the new Semester, Quarter 3 on Monday. There is no school tomorrow as teachers will be finalizing grades for Semester 1. Please look in your portal before Monday to find your 3rd quarter schedule. Let's kick off the third quarter strong and engage fully in teaching and learning.
9. Please complete the January Sense of Belonging survey if you haven't already, it only takes about 3 minutes. The link can be found in grade-level Schoology folders and there is one question about letting us know what items you'd like to see added to the Cougar Pride Store. Answer it and help us, help you!
10 Lastly, Mr. Rivera's Cougar Academy students and ASB students need to report to the gym at 8:45 am this morning to prepare for the Quarter 2 Awards and Recognition Assembly.
