1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Thursday, February 13th. Throughout the month of February, we continue to celebrate and honor the incredible contributions of Black leaders, innovators, and changemakers throughout history. Today, we recognize Jacob Lawrence who was a painter whose Migration Series tells the story of the Great Migration, when millions of Black Americans moved north for better opportunities
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. Please remember that riding the bus is a privilege, not a right. Expected behavior at school is the same on the bus. We will be addressing unexpected bus behavior with bus suspension which will require families to provide transportation. Thanks for exhibiting expected behavior and contributing positively to a school community we can be proud of.
3. The Lady Cougs take on the Falcons of Harbor Ridge today after school. Please remember that you may not leave campus and return if you are staying for the game. Please exhibit positive sportsmanship and cheer on the teamwork, growth, and grit on the court. Go Cougs!
4. 8th graders, please ensure you have your charged Chromebook tomorrow as you will need it for the high school registration presentation.
5. All lost and found items will be donated this Friday before mid-winter break. Find your lost items before it is too late!
6. Speaking of lost and found…backpacks found in hallways or in hiding will be brought to the main office and can be retrieved after school. You can pick up learning materials if you need them, but all other items will remain in a found backpack until school is out. Use your locker!
7. Girls soccer and boys basketball begins Monday, February 24th right after mid-winter break. Get signed up ASAP and ensure all of the necessary registration forms are complete.
