1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, February 14th. Throughout the month of February, we continue to celebrate and honor the incredible contributions of Black leaders, innovators, and changemakers throughout history. Today, we recognize Serena Williams who is one of the greatest tennis players of all time, winning 23 Grand Slam titles and inspiring athletes everywhere!
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. Please remember that riding the bus is a privilege, not a right. Expected behavior at school is the same on the bus. We will be addressing unexpected bus behavior with bus suspension which will require families to provide transportation. Thanks for exhibiting expected behavior and contributing positively to a school community we can be proud of.
3. Valenpops will be delivered at the end of 6th period today. Also, tickets will continue to be sold before school and at lunch for the Valentines Social coming up after break on February 27th.
4. Shoutout to the Cooking Club for baking up an amazing Creamy Chicken Enchilada Bubble Bake!
5. Crochet Club is canceled for Monday, February 24th, the first day back from break.
6. Backpacks found in hallways or in hiding will be brought to the main office and can be retrieved after school. You can pick up learning materials if you need them, but all other items will remain with a found backpack until school is out. Use your locker!
7. Girls soccer and boys basketball begins Monday, February 24th right after mid-winter break. Make sure you have all registration forms completed and signed off so you are ready to roll on the Monday we return from break.
