1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Thursday, April 10th. This week we pause to celebrate and recognize our Administrative Professionals. Thank you to Ms. Trivette and Ms. Jaime for their hard work and dedication to students, staff, and families. Take a moment to pop into the main office and thank them for what they do each and every day to serve our school community!

 

 

2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless headphones and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day and keep getting to class on time, with your materials, and your backpacks stored in your locker. Thanks for exhibiting expected behavior and contributing positively to a school community we can be proud of. Words matter and character counts!

 

 

3. Thank you to our amazing ASB, Mr. Rivera, and teachers for their time and efforts before the break in planning for a great Social and a memorable Awards and Recognition Assembly. We appreciate everybody that lended a hand to make this happen.

 

 

4. We will be operating on our iReady bell schedule tomorrow. Please remember to bring wired headphones or earbuds and your fully charged chromebook. We will be rewarding Cougar Academy classes that have 100% of students with fully charged chromebooks, so remind your peers. Also, we will continue the new tradition of rewarding students at each grade level that show the most growth so give your best effort and show us what you know. 

 

 

5. Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls, the Career and Pathway Expo will be held this year on Saturday, May 10th from 9:00 am - 1:30 pm at Harbor Ridge Middle School. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on day of exploration to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math careers. There are flyers and posters around school to sign up and connect with your Science teacher if you have any questions. 

 

 

6. Students, let's make a concerted effort to make the final push to the end of the year purposeful and memorable. Find ways to be inclusive of others, to show respect for staff and peers, and to pursue excellence in everything you do. Go Cougs!
