1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Monday, September 22nd. As we continue recognizing and celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, did you know that Sonia Sotomayor is the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice in U.S. history? She’s an inspiration for students everywhere to dream big.  Today, in recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, it is important to remember that taking care of your mental health matters. Try taking deep breaths, going for a walk, or listening to music to help reduce stress and reset your mind.
 

2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. This is a reminder that gum should be left at home and is not for school. Also, thank you to those who have emailed Mrs. Kinney and me about observed acts of vandalism. It takes our entire school community to build a culture of PRIDE in our school and facilities. Please do not intentionally vandalize our school, and if something accidentally breaks, please report it right away so we can get it fixed.

 

3. iReady Math testing is coming up tomorrow. We will be operating on an alternate bell schedule with an extended Cougar Academy to provide enough time to complete the test. Please remember to bring your fully charged Chromebook and wired earbuds. Also, the iReady assessment provides valuable data that we use to determine schedules, support, and will also automatically create your IXL Study Plan that all students will be working on in Cougar Academy on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Show us what you know and give it your best!

 

4. You may have noticed the new bus pass system outside the main office. Bus passes will be taped to the poster, and you can swing by to grab your bus during passing time or lunch.
