Announcements 9/29

1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Monday, September 29th. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. This is a reminder that gum should be left at home and is not for school. Also, thank you to those who have emailed Mrs. Kinney and me about observed acts of vandalism. It takes our entire school community to build a culture of PRIDE in our school and facilities. Please do not intentionally vandalize our school, and if something accidentally breaks, please report it right away so we can get it fixed.
2. This week is maintenance, custodial, and warehouse appreciation week. Let's take a moment to appreciate and show gratitude for all of the work these teams do, often behind the scenes, to make our facilities shine.
3. Our Cougar soccer and volleyball teams take on the Roadrunners of Goodman at Goodman Middle School. We appreciate all of the time and effort our student athletes and coaches have put in so far this season and are excited to continue to watch the growth on full display.
4. Attention all Cougars interested in wrestling. Registration is now open so if you are a 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade student with any interest, please go to our school website to sign up and make sure you have all the necessary forms completed. Wrestling is open to students of all genders, and no prior wrestling experience is required. Go Cougs!
5. Remember that clubs are in full swing. Art club is tomorrow, STEM club starts up Thursday with Mr. Minnery, Board Game Club is on Thursday, and Cooking Club starts on October 8th. We are also excited to announce that the People of Color Club starts this Thursday. This club is open to students of all races and ethnic backgrounds, and we appreciate the leadership of Duke Charles and Mrs. Johnson for making it happen. Cougar Catch-Up rolls on every Tuesday and Thursday as well. Remember to get a permission slip signed and returned to the main office for participation in all ASB clubs.
