Announcement 10/9
1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Thursday, October 9th. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. Remember to stay within your personal bubble, keeping your hands and feet to yourself. Please use your Chromebook for its intended purpose and know that your activity is monitored at the building and district level. Let's go out of our way to display kindness and respect to develop a sense of belonging for ALL!
2. Please take a moment to complete the KPMS September Sense of Belonging Survey so we can continue to capture your voice as students and develop strategies to ensure that ALL students feel seen, safe, and supported.
3. Yesterday, our volleyball and soccer teams took on the Roadrunners of Goodman, and our Cross-Country team had their third meet. It was an amazing day of competition, and our student athletes displayed great effort, grit, and perseverance. As we wrap up the season next week, let's continue to encourage and celebrate the accomplishments of our student-athletes and coaches. Go Cougs!
4. ASB Updates
a. As mentioned at our last ASB meeting, we are collecting ideas for our spirit days, which will take place at the end of each quarter this year. In your grade level Schoology, you will find our Spirit Days Survey. Please share your ideas by filling out that form. Our first Spirit Week here at KPMS will take place in November.
b. Do you have an interest in joining this year's ASB as a grade-level representative? Applications will be available in the office this Friday, either before school or during lunch. Completed applications will be due October 17th, and voting for grade level reps will occur at the end of the month. There is room for 2 per grade level to join our current ASB officers. Any questions, please see Mrs. Dykman or Mrs. Welander.
5. Remember that clubs are rolling. STEM club every Tuesday and Thursday, Drama club, Art club, People of Color club, Cooking Club, and Board Game Club are great ways to connect with peers. Make sure to get your permission slip signed and returned to the main office.
