1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Monday, November 10th. Today, we recognize Veterans Day, a day to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who have protected our freedoms and worked to keep our country safe. As we go through our day, let’s take a moment to appreciate and thank the veterans in our families, our community, and across our nation. Their service reminds us of the importance of commitment, respect, and gratitude, values we can carry into our own lives here at KPMS.
2. We have our first formal assembly of the year today, in honor of Veterans Day. All choir students need to come to the choir room at 8:30 to prepare for the assembly, along with those students identified by Mrs. Dykman in her email this morning. We are excited to recognize and celebrate our Veterans and their service to our country. Today's assembly will take place at the end of 1st period. As this is a formal assembl,y it is important to remember that the expectations are to engage fully with whoever is speaking at the podium, remain seated, and at a level 0 volume unless asked to stand. We show respect to the Veterans in our community by the way we conduct ourselves at this assembly, as many of the Veterans from our community will be in attendance.
3. Remember that there is no school tomorrow in honor of Veterans Day and that we have our first fall Choir concert coming up this Thursday @ 6:30 pm in the KPMS commons.
