Announcements 11/19

1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Wednesday, November 19th. We continue marching into Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month. Did you know that Indigenous athletes like Olympic gold medalist Billy Mills, a member of the Oglala Lakota Nation, have inspired generations through excellence, humility, and perseverance?
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. Remember to stay within your personal bubble, keeping your hands and feet to yourself. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
3. Wrestling competition kicked off last night at Kopachuck. Our student-athletes represented Cougar Nation proudly and displayed great skill, effort, and grit throughout the match. Their effort at each and every practice is paying off, and we can't wait to continue to watch them as the season unfolds. The next match is tomorrow at Goodman. Go Cougs!
4. Spirit week is on! Today is sports day, tomorrow is twin day, and Friday is Cougar Pride Day. Get your swag ready and show off that Cougar PRIDE!
