Announcements 11/21

1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, November 21st. As we near the end of November, we continue celebrating and recognizing Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month. Did you know that Indigenous athletes like Olympic gold medalist Billy Mills, a member of the Oglala Lakota Nation, have inspired generations through excellence, humility, and perseverance!
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. Remember to stay within your personal bubble, keeping your hands and feet to yourself. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
3. KPMS wrestlers traveled to Goodman yesterday and competed valiantly against the Roadrunners. They won the match 59-43! The team wrestled so well and had an almost full lineup! Each student athlete did fantastic and really represented Cougar Nation proudly. Go Cougs!
4. Today, we wrap up Spirit Week with Cougar Pride Day and our 1st Quarter awards and recognition assembly, where we celebrate school spirit and the amazing accomplishments of so many KPMS students. At the end of 1st period, an ASB representative will come to your classroom to escort the class to the assembly. As you enter the assembly today, fall student athletes may peel off and go sit on the silver bleachers with their teams.
