Announcments 12/11

1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Thursday, December 11th. Please continue to walk right and talk right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls. Keep cell phones and wireless HEADPHONES and earbuds stored away and out of sight for the entirety of the school day. Remember to stay within your personal bubble, keeping your hands and feet to yourself. Please take care of our school and report acts of vandalism right away by completing an incident report in the office or emailing Mrs. Kinney or Mr. G. Lastly, please walk to lunch and line up in an orderly fashion; our staff will have students who are running to be at the back of the lunch line. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive, safe, and respectful school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
2. In the spirit of safety, inclusivity, and the power of words, please remember that KPMS is a hate-free environment where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability, are respected and celebrated. Thank you for developing a sense of belonging for all and for developing an inclusive culture. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Remember that words matter and character counts!
3. Cougar Wrestling will wrap up an amazing season at the District Wrestling Tournament this tomorrow night @ GHHS. The tournament starts at 5 pm, so come on out and cheer on our amazing student athletes. Go Cougs!
4. The KPMS choir brought energy, joy, and holiday spirit to the Mustard Seed Senior Center yesterday. They performed beautifully, and it was clear that the seniors were so grateful for their presence and participation in the holiday fun!
5. Our amazing PTSA is keeping the holiday spirit rolling with a Cougar Movie Night this Friday from 3-5:30 pm. They will be showing Home Alone and providing food, drinks, and movie theatre popcorn. This is a free event, so stay after school and get your weekend started right with Kevin McCalister!
6. Next week, the Holiday store will be open Monday through Friday during lunches. You will need a pass, so keep exhibiting expected behavior in the lunch room so you can shop till you drop. Also, our winter social is next Thursday after school. Tickets will go on sale during lunches on Monday. They are $3 w/ASB, $4 w/out, and $5 if you wait until Thursday morning. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so remember to buy them before Thursday.
