1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Tuesday, January 13th. Keep walking right and talking right while speaking at a level 1 volume in the halls, keep your hands and feet to yourself, keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds away, and show respect for yourself, your peers, and our amazing KPMS staff. It takes all of us to ensure an inclusive, safe, and respectful school community where everyone can thrive socially and academically. Words matter and character counts!
2. Did you know that January is School Board Recognition Month? Today, we want to thank our school board members for their dedication and service to our students, staff, and community. Their leadership and commitment help guide our district and support the success of every learner. Please join us in showing appreciation for all they do for our schools.
3. Today, we dive into the winter iReady math assessment. We will operate on our iReady testing schedule just like in the fall, with lunches based on your 3rd-period teacher. This data will show the effort, perseverance, and engagement of the first semester of learning. Our amazing teachers use this data to celebrate academic growth and to identify skill gaps to address as we move into semester two. Give your best effort, be a problem solver, and show us what you know. Let's finish the semester strong and keep leaning into each day with intentionality, focus, and a growth mindset in all we do!
