Announcements 4/7

1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Tuesday, April 7th. Throughout the month of April, we honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of students whose families serve in the military. Today we recognize Lennox Skates, whose stepdad is in the Navy, and while she has not had to move, he has done 3 deployments, which are always challenging on the family. We appreciate the support Lennox and her family have provided to her Step Dad, who served honorably in the military in service to our country.
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. The student store is open today for both lunches so let's keep taking responsibility for keeping the cafeteria clean, socializing at a level 1 volume, staying seated until released for honor time, and transitioning from honor time to class at a level 1 volume. Also, please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away. Make it happen Cougs!
3. Remember to take a moment to recognize Assistant Principal Recognition Week and show gratitude for the work Mrs. Kinney does each day. We appreciate her ongoing dedication and support of students, staff, and families. Take a moment to share some gratitude for the work she does daily.
4. Remember it is not too late to sign up for the Track & Field Season. We are up to almost 70 athletes and would love to eclipse the 80 mark this season. You can sign up through FinalForms on our website.
5. Our amazing ASB leaders stacked up the Cougars Care Food Drive donations and measured the volume donated to determine what reward level was earned. We surpassed level one and almost completed level two. It has been decided that ice cream for all has been earned, and we will cut the pies down from 6 to 3 and allow one pie per grade level at Friday's assembly.
6. ASB election season is here. KPMS and PHS need positive school leaders. Interested 6th and 7th-graders can apply for 26/27 KPMS ASB President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Current 8th graders can apply to be PHS Senators for the 26/27 school year. If you want to lead, have a voice, and represent your class, applications will be available in the main office starting on Monday, April 20th, right after spring break.
7. This week is KPMS Spirit Week. Show off that Cougar Pride each day with the following themes:
Tuesday April 7th-City vs Country-Dress like you are in the city or like you’re from the country
Wednesday April 8th-Crazy Hat/Crazy Hair Day
Thursday April 9th-Cowboy Up-Western Wear
Friday-Cougar Pride Day-Wear that Red & White
8. Tickets to this Thursday's Spring Social go on sale during honort time today. Tickets are $3 w/ASB and $4 w/out. Tickets will not be sold at the door. The final day to purchase tickets is the morning of the Social and then they will cost you $5. Don't procrastinate!
