Announcements 5/11

1. Good morning, Cougs...today is Monday, May 11th. This month, we celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of AAPI communities that have shaped our country and our world. Diversity makes our communities stronger. Food, language, music, and traditions are all important parts of culture. AAPI cultures bring incredible richness and beauty to our world. We also recognize Chef Roy Choi, whose creativity and innovation helped shape modern food culture.
2. Please continue to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. The student store is open, so continue to take responsibility for keeping the cafeteria clean, socializing at a level 1 volume, staying seated until released for honor time, and transitioning from honor time to class at a level 1 volume. This is a reminder that your toys should remain at home or in your locker. Also, please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away. Make it happen, Cougs!
3. Tomorrow is day three of SBA! We will be running the same testing bell schedule with lunches based on your 3rd-period teacher. Tomorrow will be the Math PT Test. Remember to bring your fully charged Chromebook and to get a good night's rest and a balanced breakfast. Remember that if as a school, we improve our overall Math and ELA proficiency percentage by 3% a grade level representative will get to pie me in the face at our final assembly with no protective coverings. If we increase by 6% we will provide ice cream for all students again and if we improve by 9% the student body will vote for Mr. G's fit for the last day of school. Give your best and don't stress!
