Announcements 5/15

1. Good morning, Cougs...today is Friday, May 15th. Did you know that May is also Mental Health Awareness Month? Your mental health tip of the day is that practicing gratitude can help train your brain to notice positive moments. Today, think about and write down something that you are grateful for.
2. Please take a moment to reflect and remember that words hold power. KPMS is a hate-free environment, and any form of discriminatory language or behavior will not be tolerated and will result in corrective action. Please go out of your way to be an upstander and address or report discriminatory language or behavior if you witness it. It takes our entire school community to stand up to discrimination and to develop a safe and inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
3. Please continue to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. It will not be a Frosty Friday for 1st lunch today based on Wednesday's performance, but the frost will be available for 2nd lunch. Remind your peers and model the expectations of keeping voices to a level one, walking in from honor time and to class, and taking responsibility for keeping the cafeteria clean. This is a reminder that your toys should remain at home or in your locker. Energy drinks of any brand are not allowed at school. Please consume those at home if your family is good with that. Also, please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away. Make it happen, Cougs!
