Announcements 9/4
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, September 4th. Let's continue to celebrate progress, not perfection. Growth takes time, and every step forward matters. Let’s support one another as we transition into an amazing school year! Remember that there is no school on monday in recognition of Labor Day.
2. We will have our 8th grade level assemblies this morning right after announcements, but want to keep reviewing expectations with everyone.
a. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble.
b. Please throw garbage away, remain seated in the cafeteria, show respect for staff and peers. Be proactive in including others and inviting them to sit with you at lunch. The hallways are closed during lunch and honor time. Please walk to honor time and leave your lunch bag on your table or in the cubby that is located on the wall across from the honor time exit. Lunch is not free for everyone. Please fill out the free/reduced lunch form that has been shared out with families via ParentSquare if you would like free/reduced breakfast and lunch.
c. Transition to and from honor time at a level 1 volume as classes will be in session. Library passes will be available next Wednesday after the deployment of the MacBook Neos.
d. Please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away and out of sight. If they are out, they will be confiscated and will need to be picked up at the end of the school day in the main office. Parents will need to pick up confiscated items after the 3rd confiscation.
e. As the new MacBook Neos are deployed, please remember that these are the property of the Peninsula School District and cannot be customized at all. No stickers, etching, drawing etc. Fines will be assessed for damage and are much more expensive with the MacBooks, so go above and beyond to care for them and to meet the educational tech expectations.
f. Please be observant and safe as you get on your bus. Please exit the building by walking and do not congregate on the sidewalk and remain behind the yellow line. Bus numbers are labeled on the side of the bus, not the number on the back of the bus. Line up in an orderly fashion and do not push your way into line. Follow all staff instructions right away.
3. It is not too late to register for fall sports. Registrations are increasing so don't miss out and come out to be a part of something special this season!
