Announcements 9/11
1. Good morning, Cougs! Today is Friday, September 11th. On September 11, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on 9/11. We also recognize the incredible bravery, selflessness, and resolve shown by first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who stepped forward to help others during one of our nation’s darkest moments.
As we remember, let’s carry forward the best of what was shown that day: courage, compassion, resilience, and a commitment to taking care of one another. We remember. We honor. We stand together.
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Please throw garbage away, remain seated in the cafeteria, and walk to honor time quietly as our band class is in session. Frosty Fridays starts today and will continue as long as we continue exhibiting expected behavior. You will only be able to purchase ice cream with a pass that you will receive by being in your seat, with a clean table, and a raised hand.
3. Please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away and out of sight. If they are out, they will be confiscated and will need to be picked up at the end of the school day in the main office or be held for parents or guardians to pick up. Remember that MacBooks are the property of the Peninsula School District and cannot be customized at all. No stickers, etching, drawing etc. Fines will be assessed for damage and are much more expensive with the MacBooks, so go above and beyond to care for them and to meet the educational tech expectations.
4. Remember that attendance matters and is crucial in maintaining consistent academic growth. We are tracking attendance data starting on Monday and will share this out as the grade level competition is on! The grade level with the highest attendance percentage each quarter will earn a reward and be recognized for a job well done. Come to school each day and be ready to learn!
5. The fall sports season is underway, but it is not too late to register. Let's boost those numbers for boys soccer and cross country! You can register on FinalForms right from our school website.
6. Smile...picture day is today. You will be coming to the library during your Science class to get your picture taken. This year you will be using your photo id as your ASB card, to scan in for breakfast and lunch, to check out library books, and to scan onto the bus. Please be responsible for your id card when you receive it just like you would if it was your driver's license.
