Announcements 9/24
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Thursday, September 24th. We continue recognizing suicide prevention month throughout September and are sharing small ways to build a school culture where everyone belongs. Remember that words hold power and have the ability to build others up or tear them down. The intent of your words doesn't matter, it is the impact they have on others that does. Choose your words carefully and know that everyone is carrying around an invisible backpack filled with challenges, traumas, and things you may never know. Words matter and character counts.
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Please throw garbage away, remain seated in the cafeteria, and walk to honor time quietly. We will be looking for an improvement in cleanliness during lunches in order to ensure it is a Frosty Friday this week. Please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away and out of sight. Remember to remain behind the yellow line when waiting for buses and that riding the bus is a privilege and unexpected behavior may mean you are suspended from bus ridership for a period of time.
3. Please remember that safety is a priority when loading buses. Stay behind the yellow line and back off the path if you are standing and waiting for your bus so others can pass and get on their bus. Do not hang out of the windows while on the bus. You are on camera when in our building and on buses and corrective action will occur for unexpected behavior.
4. Cross Country has the middle school preview at Sehmel Park at 3:30pm today and Girls Volleyball has their jamboree at 6pm tonight. 8th grade at HRMS and 7th grade at Kopa. We are excited to get competition rolling and see the growth of our student athletes on full display!
5. Remember that there is Game Club, POC Club, and Cougar Catch-Up today after school. You do not need a permission slip for Cougar Catch-Up, but make sure you have one signed and turned into the office for all other clubs.
Please meet your advisor in the commons after school. We will continue to share dates of clubs as they start up over the next couple of weeks.
