Announcements 9/25
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, September 25th. We continue recognizing suicide prevention month throughout September and are sharing small ways to build a school culture where everyone belongs. Remember to be observant and notice who's alone in the hallway or at lunch. A simple greeting and, "come sit with us", can change someone's whole day. Remember that words matter and character counts.
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Keep up the great work during lunches. It will be Frosty Friday today. Please continue to keep your cell phones and wireless headphones/earbuds stored away and out of sight. Remember to remain behind the yellow line when waiting for buses and that riding the bus is a privilege and unexpected behavior may mean you are suspended from bus ridership for a period of time.
3. Please remember that safety is a priority when loading buses. Stay behind the yellow line and back off the path if you are standing and waiting for your bus so others can pass and get on their bus. Do not hang out of the windows while on the bus and remember to use the cross walks and do not step onto the street to board a bus if a late bus is pulling in. You are on camera when in our building and on buses and corrective action will occur for unexpected behavior.
4. Cross Country showed off that Cougar Pride last night and displayed great effort, sportsmanship, and perseverance. We can't wait to see the continued growth and personal records over the course of the regular season. Go Cougs!
5. The 7th grade girls played hard during yesterday's jamboree at Kopachuk. Although they lost the first two games, they were able to eliminate the early season nerves and get their groove going in order to beat Harbor ridge in the third game. The jamboree was an overall good experience and introduction to the season. Way to go girls!
The 8th grade girls displayed amazing effort last night. Co-captains Madi Painter and Trinity Keller led the team to an impressive 16-9 win over Harbor Ridge at last night's season opening jamboree. The team also competed against Kopachuck in a close match that came down to just one point.
