Announcements 10/2

1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Friday, October 2nd. Did you know that October is Disability Awareness Month? All month, let's celebrate the strengths, talents, and perspectives that students and staff with disabilities bring to our school community. Inclusion isn't just inviting someone in, it's making sure every person feels they truly belong. Today, look for one way to make someone feel welcome and a part of Cougar Nation!
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. We're still at about 88% clean and remaining seated continues to require redirection throughout lunch. We have high expectations and know you are capable of meeting them. Sadly, it is not a Frosty Friday today, but we will monitor behavior to see if we can celebrate next Friday.
3. This is a reminder that your toys need to remain in your locker or at home. Your learning materials need to only be used appropriately and as directed by your teacher. Tech free lunch means zero use of your Neos and patterns of unexpected Neo use in or outside of the classroom will result in needing to check them out from the library as needed. Continue to care for the Neos and remember that they are the property of the Peninsula School District and fines will be assessed and be expected to be paid for all damage.
4. Last night our Cross Country team represented Cougar Nation proud. It was like a PR (personal record) party out there. A special shoutout from the bus driver that extended her appreciation for the best bus riding behavior she's observed in her 19 year career as a bus driver. We are so proud of our athletes and coaches and can't wait to continue to watch the growth of our student athletes throughout the rest of the season. Keep it up Cougs!
