Announcements 10/13
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Tuesday, October 13th. As we approach the final days of Hispanic Heritage Month let's not forget to lean into the rich cultures of Hispanic and Latino American culture all year long. Let's celebrate community together. Local Hispanic and Latino-owned businesses and organizations help make our neighborhoods vibrant so consider supporting and learning about one near you.
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Continue to follow expectations and positively contribute to a school culture we can be proud of and to ensure this Friday is a frosty one. Remember that words hold power and that it is the impact of your words, not the intent that matters.
3. Our soccer and volleyball teams take on the roadrunners of Goodman today after school. These are home matches so don't forget to remain on campus after school if you are attending and that you must remain in the gym or at the soccer field throughout the games. Please remember to exhibit positive sportsmanship and cheer for KPMS and not against Goodman. Go Cougs!
Remember to get registered for wrestling! We are nearing 40 wrestlers and would love to meet our goal of 60 student athletes participating. No previous experience is required and all grade levels and genders are welcome. Get registered so you are ready for the first day of practice. Go Cougs!
4. Today is the first Cooking Crew meeting of the year via zoom. Connect with Mrs. Schrock or Mrs. Smith for more information and enjoy learning about the art of cuisine.
5. This week is Nutrition Services Appreciation week. Take a moment when getting breakfast or lunch, to let our amazing nutrition services staff know how much you appreciate the work they do daily to ensure we have quality food service.
6. ASB/Leadership wants to hear from you regarding future spirit days at KPMS. Starting today, in your grade level Schoology, you will find a spot to do just that. Look for the form titled KPMS "SPIRIT DAY" SURVEY and let us know your thoughts.
