Announcements 10/19
1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Monday, October 19th. Along with disability awareness, October is also National Bullying Prevention Month. Let's remain grounded in being kind, inclusive, and developing into Upstanders if and when we witness bullying. Remember that bullying is repeated, unwanted behavior that hurts someone or leaves them out. It's different from a one-time disagreement. Start the week with a kind word. Say hi to someone you don't usually talk to. A simple hello can change how someone's whole day feels.
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Continue to follow expectations and positively contribute to a school culture we can be proud of and to ensure Fridays are frosty. Be responsible by having a seat in the cafeteria, taking care of yours or others garbage, and exhibiting expected behavior during honor time. We believe in you, so make it happen Cougs!
3. Also, a friendly reminder that times and bells don't release students, they notify teachers. You are expected to follow your teacher's directions and routines as they relate to dismissal.
4. Our volleyball and soccer teams head over to Kopachuck today for their final regular season matches and will finish off the season on Thursday for the district tournaments.
Remember to get registered for wrestling! No previous experience is required and all grade levels and genders are welcome. Get registered so you are ready for the first day of practice.
5. Remember that the first Social of the year is tomorrow. You may not purchase tickets at the door. Tickets are available during lunch & honor time. $3.00 with ASB, $4.00 without ASB. . Don't wait, buy early as the cost goes up to $5.00 if you wait until tomorrow morning. Remember all Clubs and athletics will be cancelled tomorrow so you can join in on the fun. Also, you must have all fines/fees paid in order to purchase a ticket. Notices have been sent to families that have unpaid fines or fees.
