1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Tuesday, October 20th. Along with disability awareness, October is also National Bullying Prevention Month. Let's remain grounded in being kind, inclusive, and developing into Upstanders. If someone is being treated unkindly, you can help without a big confrontation. Stand next to them, change the subject, or invite them to walk away with you. Small moves help and are what it means to be an Upstander.
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Continue to follow expectations and positively contribute to a school culture we can be proud of and to ensure Fridays are frosty. Be responsible by having a seat in the cafeteria, taking care of yours or others garbage, and exhibiting expected behavior during honor time. We believe in you, so make it happen Cougs!
3. Last night our Cougar Volleyball teams played hard against Kopachuck and represented Cougar Nation proud. Madisen led the 8th grade team with 9 serves, and Julia added 8. The team showed great teamwork with solid hits from Michelle, Natalie, Madisen, Kenadie, and Austyn. Gemma and Maggie supported the team with passing while Trinity had some impressive sets. Vada was instrumental with her sets and tips at the net, and Carlee made an impressive block in the final set. Don't miss the season-ending tournament this Thursday night at PHS! Games start at 5 p.m. Also, don't miss the boys soccer season-ending tournament this Thursday at the GHHS new lower field starting at 5 p.m. Come out and cheer on our student athletes as they close out the fall sports season!
Remember to get registered for wrestling! No previous experience is required and all grade levels and genders are welcome. Get registered so you are ready for the first day of practice.
