Announcements 10/22

1. Good morning Cougs! Today is Thursday, October 22nd. Let's continue to remain grounded in being kind, inclusive, and developing into Upstanders. Remember that words matter, especially online. Before you post, comment, or send, ask yourself: Would I say this to their face? Would I want it said about me? Is this something that I want a digital footprint of that can last forever? Words matter and character counts!
2. Please remember to walk right and talk right while keeping to a level 1 volume and staying within your personal bubble. Continue to follow expectations and positively contribute to a school culture we can be proud of and to ensure Fridays are frosty. All cell phones and wireless headphones or earbuds need to be stored away and out of sight.
3. Don't miss the season-ending tournaments today. Cross Country is at 3:30 pm at Sehmel Park. Volleyball is at PHS starting at 5pm and soccer is at GHHS lower field at 5pm. Come out and cheer on our student athletes as they close out the fall sports season!
Remember to get registered for wrestling! No previous experience is required and all grade levels and genders are welcome. Get registered so you are ready for the first day of practice.
4. This is a reminder that there is an ASB Meeting in commons tomorrow morning during Cougar Academy. Please send only one representative with paper and pencil for notes!
5. Conference week is next week. We've been sharing information with families and can't wait to share positive aspects of your academic and behavioral life at school as well as team with your families to problem solve areas that need to be improved. Every day next week is a half day with school dismissing at 11:30. Wednesday is a regular start time, but will be a half day. We will be operating on an A/B schedule with periods 1-3/CA on Monday/Wednesday and periods 4-6/CA on Tuesday/Thursday. You will attend all periods/CA on Friday. Teachers please share the bell schedule over the next couple of days and answer questions so we are all aligned as we head into conference week next week.
