Honoring Student Champions: Paraeducator Recognition Week

Posted Date: 03/30/26 (04:00 PM)

This week, March 30 - April 4, 2026, PSD celebrates Paraeducator Recognition Week. This is a time to give thanks to the dedicated paraeducators who engage our students and support our teachers in and out of the classroom.

Paraeducators work at all grade levels in PSD schools and often work with our youngest or most vulnerable students. During the March 17th board meeting, PSD recognized 36 incredible paraeducators who earned their General Paraeducator Certificate (GPC). These dedicated professionals went above and beyond to enhance their lifelong learning and dedication to their profession.

Congratulations to our newly certificated paraeducators: Rhonda Atwater, Sarah Burke, Tracy Coonan, Kelsey Cory, Lisa Coslett, Tawna Crow, Jenny Cruz, Christine Daily, Amy DiMatteo, Rachel Dodson, Betty Eichwald, Brandy Harrison, Christina Nichols, Randy Ogburn, Jayne Peterson, Catherine Reaney, Lorna Sabol, Kristina Thomas, Jan Underwood, Adrienne Urvina, Diana Veneski, Joan Webster, Linda Youngchild, Frankie Hacker, Brooke Jacobs, Katherine Johnson, Ashleigh Joyce-Byrne, Alisa Kalinsky, Christopher Kester, Kaari Kilbourn, Jill Knowles, Loreen Loftus, Stephanie Macary, Susan Mapes, Sandi Mattila, and Tami Morgan.

We are incredibly grateful for all of our paraeducators and the inspiring work they do every day!
